Privacy Policy — TESC
Version of 1 October 2026 · in force from the date above
Language: this is a translation of the Portuguese original, published at
tesc.treslimoes.com.br/privacidade. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one;
if the two ever diverge, the Portuguese text prevails.
This policy explains, in plain language, how TESC handles your personal data under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018, "LGPD").
The rules for using the app — account, households, invites and plans — are in the Terms of Use.
1Who handles your data
TESC is operated by BARBOSA E FOLLE DESENVOLVIMENTO DE SOFTWARE LTDA ("Três Limões", "we"), CNPJ 68.586.378/0001-52, headquartered at Av. Paulista, 91 [ TO BE FILLED: suite, city/state and postal code ]. We are the controller of the data handled in the app.
Data Protection Officer (DPO), under art. 41 of the LGPD: Logan Cunha Folle — dpo@treslimoes.com.br, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (Brasília time), except public holidays. Other privacy matters: privacidade@treslimoes.com.br.
2What data we collect
Your account data
| Data | Required? | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Identifying you to the other members of your household. |
| Email and password | Yes, unless you sign in with Apple or Google | Creating and accessing your account. The password is stored only as a hash, which not even we can reverse. |
| Apple or Google account identifier | Yes, if you sign in with them | Recognizing your account. We receive the identifier, the email (which may be an Apple relay address) and, the first time, the name. We have no access to anything else in your account with them. |
| Date of birth | Yes | Working out your age, used (a) in the fair split by age — younger people get chores suited to their age — and (b) to restrict chores marked 18+ to adults. It also sets how we handle ads and offers for minors (section 4). |
Household and usage data
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Household (name, rooms, settings) | Organizing the housework of people who live together. |
| Members (name, date of birth, role in the household) | Splitting chores fairly. Minor members are added by the person in charge of the household (section 6). |
| Chores, routines, deadlines and completions | This is the core use of the app: who does what and when. |
| Preferences (chores each person prefers or avoids, availability) | Adjusting the split to what is fair for each person. |
| History (what each person did and when) | Balancing the split over time and showing the history to the household. |
| Invites (code, who invited, when) | Letting new members join the household. |
| IP address and time of requests | Access log required by art. 15 of Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet) (section 7). |
| Premium subscription status | Knowing whether the account has Premium. It comes from Apple; we never see payment data. |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA) | Only on the Free plan and only if you allow it in the iOS prompt (section 4). |
Reminders are local notifications: scheduled and fired by the device itself, without going through our servers.
What TESC does not collect: GPS location, contacts, photos and payment data.
3What we use it for and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (LGPD) |
|---|---|
| Creating the account, organizing the household, splitting chores, invites and history | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Using age in the split and restricting 18+ chores | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V); for minors, in their best interest (art. 14) |
| Premium subscription | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Access logs | Legal obligation (art. 7, II; Marco Civil, art. 15) |
| Anonymous, aggregated statistics | Anonymized data is no longer personal data (art. 12); the anonymization itself rests on legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) |
| Non-personalized ads on the Free plan | Legitimate interest in keeping the free plan (art. 7, IX) |
| Personalized ads | Consent (art. 7, I), through the iOS tracking prompt |
| Partner offers | Consent (art. 7, I), specific and revocable |
| Answering support and data subject requests | Performance of a contract and legal obligation (art. 7, V and II) |
4How the Free plan is funded
TESC has two plans. Premium is a paid App Store subscription with no ads and no partner offers. Free costs nothing and is funded in three ways, all described here:
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics. We may produce and publish figures about housework — for example, "how many hours a week households with children spend in the kitchen". These figures are always aggregated, calculated over large groups, and never identify a person or a household. We do not sell or hand over individual data. Groups too small to guarantee anonymity are left out [ TO BE FILLED: minimum group size, e.g. 50 households ].
- Ads on the Free plan. Served by [ TO BE FILLED: ad network, e.g. Google AdMob ], which receives technical data about the device and usage to deliver the ad and prevent fraud. Ads are only personalized with your consent: on iPhone, iOS asks whether you allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline or don't answer, the IDFA is not collected and ads continue, without personalization. You can change your mind under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Under-18s never get personalized ads.
- Partner offers. Only for those who explicitly accept, on a dedicated screen, separate from the terms. With your yes, we may show partner offers related to the home (for example, cleaning products or household services) and, when the offer requires it, share with the partner only the minimum stated on the acceptance screen itself. You can revoke this consent at any time in the app settings, without losing anything else in TESC. Partner offers are not shown to under-18s. List of partners: [ TO BE FILLED ].
5Who we share it with
- Other members of your household see your name, your chores, preferences relevant to the split and the household history. They don't see your email or your full date of birth.
- Apple: subscription (App Store), local notifications and "Sign in with Apple". We receive only the subscription status, never payment data.
- Google: "Sign in with Google" and, if it is the network chosen, ads on the Free plan.
- Offer partners: only with your consent (section 4).
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email): [ TO BE FILLED: providers and storage region ]. They handle data only to provide the service to us.
- Cloudflare: hosts this site and routes emails sent to our addresses.
- Authorities: when the law or a court order requires it.
International transfer. Apple, Google and Cloudflare are foreign companies and may handle data outside Brazil. The legal ground is carrying out what you yourself asked for (art. 33, IX together with art. 7, V) or, for personalized ads, your specific consent (art. 33, VIII).
6Children and teenagers
Members under 18 are added by the person in charge of the household, who declares they are the child's parent or legal guardian and gives the specific consent required by art. 14, §1 of the LGPD to handle the child's data. From minors we collect only what the chore split needs (name, date of birth and the household chores). The data is handled in the best interest of the child or teenager: 18+ chores are not assigned to them, and there are no personalized ads or partner offers for minors. The person in charge can correct or delete this data at any time. [ TO BE FILLED: minimum age for a minor to have their own login in the app, if any ]
7How long we keep it
- Account, household, chores and history: for as long as the account exists. When you delete the account, the data leaves the live database immediately and may remain in backups for up to [ TO BE FILLED: backup period ] days.
- Access logs (IP and time): 6 months, kept confidential, as required by art. 15 of the Marco Civil da Internet.
- Subscription record: for the period required by tax and accounting law, unlinked from you whenever possible.
- Consents (personalized ads and offers): we keep the record of when you accepted or revoked, for as long as the account exists.
- Anonymous statistics: indefinitely, since they identify no one.
If you leave a household, future chores are no longer assigned to you; the household's past history may remain visible to the other members without your name [ TO BE FILLED: confirm app behaviour ].
8Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18), you can ask at any time, through dpo@treslimoes.com.br, for:
- confirmation that we handle your data, and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data;
- portability of your data;
- deletion of data handled on the basis of consent, and withdrawal of that consent;
- information about who we share your data with and about the possibility of not consenting.
You can also complain to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD). We answer requests within 15 days.
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Account → Delete account. Deleting the account does not cancel the Apple subscription: cancel it in the App Store settings.
9Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords stored only as hashes, and access to data restricted to those who need it to run the service. If a security incident occurs that may pose a relevant risk, we will notify you and the ANPD, as art. 48 of the LGPD requires.
10Changes
We may update this policy as TESC changes. Relevant changes will be announced in the app, and the date at the top of this page always shows the version in force. If a change involves a new purpose based on consent, we will ask for your yes again.
